The NY Times withheld its story on the NSA spy scandal for a year
Here's a quote from today's NY Times article on the Bush regime's use of the NSA to spy on Americans :
The White House asked The New York Times not to publish this article, arguing that it could jeopardize continuing investigations and alert would-be terrorists that they might be under scrutiny. After meeting with senior administration officials to hear their concerns, the newspaper delayed publication for a year to conduct additional reporting. In the aftermath of the Judith Miller fiasco, it seems that the Times has shown a continued willingness to do the White House's bidding.
